Welcome to the new website for the Orlando Professional Fire Fighters. IAFF Local 1365 was chartered in 1960. Currently the Local represents 560 members of the Orlando Fire Department. The local represents the ranks of Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, and District Chief as well as the Emergency Communication Specialists.

Local 1365Local 1365 was chartered in 1960 and is a proud member of the International Association of Fire Fighters and the Florida Professional Firefighters Association. Local 1365 represents the firefighters, engineers, lieutenants, district chiefs, and emergency communications specialist who proudly serve the citizens of Orlando.
The members of Local 1365 are committed to providing the highest level of emergency services possible to our community each and every day. The Orlando Fire Department, which was first formed in 1885, provides a wide range of emergency and non-emergency services to Orlando’s citizens and visitors.Established in 1885, the Orlando Fire Department began as a group of dedicated volunteers. Operating as “Orlando Hook and Ladder Company No. 1”, “Orlando Hose Company No. 1”, and “Mechanics Hose and Engine Company No. 2”, these men proudly served to protect the lives and property of the 1,666 citizens of Orlando. Today more than 550 men and women of the Orlando Fire Department proudly continue this tradition with 17 fire stations serving a population of over 225,000 people within a 110 square mile area, within the City limits.
